The Fourth Court of Appeals consists of six justices and one Chief Justice.  The Chief Justice is often referred to as “the first among equals.”  Like the other six justices, the Chief Justice has just one vote when making decisions.  Yet the Chief Justice is the Court’s leader and spokesperson … the person who sets the tempo and the vision for the Court.

The Chief Justice must have knowledge of the issues and the operations of the court.  I have that knowledge.  And I have the experience and leadership skills needed to maintain efficiency at the Court.  The cases decided at the Fourth Court have far-reaching effect in South Texas, the Hill Country, and the entire state.  The role of the Chief Justice is too important to leave to chance or inexperience. I ask for your support in this important judicial race.
